Well we made it

Flying and traveling is usually fairly easy for my wife and I. But throw the mother-in law in the mix and things can change real quick. So Greg graciously picks Tonaya and I up at somewhere around three thirty in the morning and takes us to the airport. What a guy. We are way too early. No problem though. So we fly to Phoenix. Change planes to fly to Mexico City. Terri (Tonaya's mom) is on the flight as well, we are supposed to meet her. Only we were looking for her cause we were early. I think that she was first on the plane. We were last. No problem everybody is excited and we enjoy the 2.5 hour flight. Plenty of room on the plane, me isle, her window. Not much sleep, kind of doze on the plane. Then we drop into Mexico City. One of the largest cites in the world I think. So we all get off the plane and go thru customs. This takes at least an hour and then some.We are doing fairly well. Nothing to declare and we are in like FLIN! Now we step thru the etched glass sliding doors, the airport is crazy busy. Right off the bat there are amigos with hand carts to take you to your next gate. We decline, we can manage. They warn it is a long walk. Man they weren't fuckin kidding. You have to recheck your luggage when you get to Mexico. Unknown to us our flight had changed. Orbitz travel did not tell us until late monday morning by e-mail. We were gone by then. A true test of a family is how well they can hold up under pressure. We had no meltdowns, although Terri did say she almost called me a little Fucker. After going back and forth in the airport from America West to Aeromexico four times, we finally found someone who new what to do for us. Nothing like going to the ticket counter here in america. Airline people in Mexico City were nothing but helpfullll! We were just worried that we were going to miss our flight and have to stay overnite in Mexico City. So with tickets in hand we got to the gate and went thru the doors. Only it put us on this starwars type bus that took us to the plane. Not enough gates i guess. Once we were on the plane, we got up to crusing altitude and then descended into the airport. Hot and humid. Did I say hot? What I meant was Mexico makes the east coast seem Oregon on a humid day.
So we take a taxi trip to IntraWest Resort. It was about a half an hour. Once we got to the resort, we could not believe it. Pictures do not do it justice from the brochure. This place has three bathrooms. All with showers, very open. It has an out side shower in the deck. We have our own dipping pool on our deck. Our bedroom from our bed looks out on the ocean. Laying in bed I can watch Sponge Bob Square Pants, and watch the sunset. It is really unreal. Last nite we went to dinner here at the resort and then came home early and played some cards. But yesterday was spent checking out the town and going to the grocery store. It was just like Winco's. Umm gonna get me some more Modelo's. Then we spent about two hours in the ocean body surfing. Today Tonaya and I went to Extapa(north of Zhiwhatenajo which is where we are) which is north about seven miles. That is where all of the big resorts are. We walked around and looked and had lunch, we like are area a bit better. After talking with some of the guys here who work at the resort, they recommeded a surf shop that takes you out for 3 hours and then brings you back. We made reservations for tomorrow. Its only 30bucks a day for equipment, and they shuttle you there. They take you north of Extapa about seven to an area that you could not get to by taxi.
